Hello hello and welcome back to Tremendously Chaotic!
Once again, I’m your host, and today I’ve brought to you another source of income that you can start right from your phone, requires zero investment, and honestly takes less time than blogging.
Now, I’m not discouraging you from blogging — blogging is amazing, and I’m currently covering that one-on-one because it’s such a vast and valuable topic. But if you want to skip the wait and start earning today, then this post is exactly what you need.
And yes — if you’re into blogging, my full Blogging 101 Guide is linked here too, so you can explore both. But today, we’re diving into one of the most underrated, easiest income streams out there — YouTube.
Not just any YouTube though — Faceless YouTube.
And to make it even better, I’ve created a YouTube 101 Guide where I’ve shared everything I learned the hard way, so you don’t have to repeat the same mistakes.
So grab your phone, and let’s dive right in.
Why Faceless YouTube Channels Are Exploding Right Now
YouTube has changed completely since Shorts came out. You no longer need fancy equipment or a massive subscriber base to get views — even a 10-second clip can reach millions of people overnight.
And guess what?
You don’t need to:
Show your face
Use your voice
Spend a single dollar
All you need is your phone, a free editing app like CapCut, and some creativity.
Faceless channels are booming because they let you stay private yet profitable. Whether it’s romance edits, aesthetic montages, or quotes that make people stop scrolling — your visuals and vibe do the talking.
What You Need to Start (and What You Don’t)
You don’t need a studio. You don’t need a tripod. You don’t even need a plan that’s perfect.
You just need to start — but smartly.
You’ll Need:
A phone (any smartphone works)
Stable internet connection
CapCut or a similar editing app
A YouTube account
One clear niche (we’ll talk about this next)
You Don’t Need:
A camera or mic
To post every day
To show your face or talk
To spend money on ads or marketing
You can post 3–5 Shorts a week and still grow if you’re consistent.
Step 1: Choose Your Niche (and Stick to It)
This step is everything. The niche you choose will decide your growth, audience, and even how quickly you monetize.
When I first started YouTube, I made the classic mistake of switching niches. One week it was quotes, the next week it was edits, and the algorithm got confused every single time.
And when the algorithm gets confused — your growth stops.
Popular Faceless Niches to Try:
Romance & book edits
Lifestyle aesthetics
Productivity or study motivation
Tutorial Shorts (CapCut, Canva, Notion tips)
Quotes, affirmations, or journaling
Calming visuals or relaxing videos
Pro Tip: Once you pick a niche, commit for at least 60 days before making changes. That’s how long it takes for the algorithm to fully understand your channel’s focus.
Inside my guide, you’ll find a “Niche Research Worksheet” to help you figure this out easily and quickly.
Step 2: Gather Visuals & Sounds
Faceless doesn’t mean boring — it means creative.
You can find endless free visuals from:
Pinterest – for aesthetic static shots
Pexels and Pixabay – for royalty-free videos
Google Images – make sure they’re copyright-free
Once you have visuals, choose a trending sound from the YouTube Shorts tab.
Trending sounds help your content reach more viewers organically because the algorithm automatically pushes content with popular audio.
💬 Tip: Watch a few Shorts in your niche and see which sounds repeat. Use those.
Step 3: Edit Your Short Like a Pro (Even as a Beginner)
Editing is easier than you think. All you need is one simple formula:
Hook (first 2–3 seconds): Grab attention instantly.
Example: “He told her to leave — but she didn’t.”Main Content: Deliver emotion or value.
End: Add your brand name or watermark (like “Fickle Hearts”) in a subtle way.
Tools I Use:
CapCut: Free, easy to learn, and has ready templates.
Pinterest: Great for finding mood shots.
💡 Pro Tip: Reuse your video templates. Once you find a format that works, stick with it — that’s how you create a brand identity.
Step 4: Post Smart — Not Daily
Consistency matters more than frequency.
You don’t need to post daily to grow — you just need to post consistently.
Here’s a simple weekly plan that works:
Record or edit 3–5 Shorts per week
Post during evenings or weekends
Add 3–5 niche hashtags like
#booktok,#romanceedit, or#motivationshorts
💬 Pro Tip: Batch-create content on weekends and schedule it. That way, your channel stays active even when you’re busy.
Step 5: Learn the Algorithm — The Simple Way
The YouTube algorithm rewards three things:
Watch Time: How long people watch your videos.
Engagement: Likes, comments, saves, shares.
Consistency: Regular uploads, even if just 3 per week.
That’s it.
No hacks, no secrets — just show up with good content, regularly.
💡 Insider Tip: Keep your Shorts between 10–25 seconds. The higher your watch duration, the faster your video gets pushed to more viewers.
Step 6: Monetize Your Channel
You can start earning from YouTube in two ways:
Option 1 — Shorts Monetization
1,000 subscribers
10 million Shorts views in 90 days
Option 2 — Long-Form Videos
1,000 subscribers
4,000 watch hours in 12 months
But here’s something most creators don’t realize — you can earn before you’re monetized through:
Affiliate links (Amazon, Canva, Notion templates, etc.)
Promoting your blog or digital guides
Sponsorships and collaborations
Inside my YouTube 101 Guide, I explain how to add affiliate links and brand CTAs in your Shorts without hurting engagement.
Step 7: Track & Improve
Every week, check your analytics. Look at what’s working — and double down on it.
Use a simple tracking sheet (like the one in my guide) to track:
Top-performing Shorts
Trending sounds used
Engagement rate
Watch duration
This 10-minute habit will help you grow twice as fast because you’ll actually understand what your audience wants.
Mistakes to Avoid
Here are the five mistakes that slow down most new creators:
- Switching niches too soon
- Ignoring analytics
- Over posting and burning out
- Forgetting to add your brand mark
- Not using trending sounds
Fixing these alone can change your growth curve completely.

Final Thoughts
Now, YouTube might not be as vast as blogging, but it’s still a powerful way to start earning online — and as I continue to learn more strategies and insights, I’ll be covering them in future posts. For now, this is all I have to say about YouTube, but make sure to keep an eye out because I’ll soon be sharing more detailed guides on how to earn money on Fiverr, how to land a job using LinkedIn, and even how to sell your own digital products online — without needing a blog. There’s so much more to come, and I can’t wait to walk you through each step. You don’t need to be a tech genius or a full-time creator to make YouTube work for you. You just need a phone, a niche, and a little consistency.
Your first few videos might flop — and that’s okay. Every creator starts there.
But once one short takes off, that’s when your entire channel changes.
So this is your sign — start today. You have everything you need to make this work.
And when you do, remember — I’ll be cheering for you.
